We are delighted to extend our warmest welcome to the Asia Pacific Wireless Communication Symposium (APWCS 2023) taking place in Tainan, Taiwan. APWCS is a well-respected international conference focused on Information and Communications Technology (ICT), organized by the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (Taipei Chapter, Singapore Chapter, Tokyo/Japan Chapter, and Seoul Chapter), and supported by National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), and the Higher Education SPROUT Project sponsored by the Ministry of Education.

This symposium aims to provide a platform for researchers in the Asia Pacific region to share the latest results, seek feedback or collaborations, and exchange innovative ideas on ICT frontier research. APWCS 2023 will feature distinguished keynote speeches by esteemed experts, including Prof. Li-Chun Wang from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan; Mr. Takehiro Nakamura from NTT DOCOMO, Inc.; Prof. Chun-Yi Wei from National Taipei University, Taiwan; Prof. Byonghyo Shim from Seoul National University, Korea; and Prof. Christopher H. T. Lee from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The technical program will also include presentations of regular papers and recent results papers covering diverse topics such as 5G/6G, AI and machine learning, IoT, wireless communication, V2X communications, and system and applications. This symposium is an excellent opportunity to foster collaboration and advance the field of ICT in the Asia Pacific region.

After more than two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s APWCS is finally resuming as a physical conference. We sincerely invite you to gather at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Tainan Campus from August 23 to 25 for this exciting ICT event and to experience the charm of Tainan city. We especially recommend you to explore the unique blend of old and new culture in Tainan.
